I hate buying red lipstick so I just don't until now! This one is a stunning colour...... not too hussy-like, deep blue/red that looks gorgeous on. I love the feel of this lippie too :)
I'd buy this forever
I had been holding out buying a lipstick in the hope that they would go on sale at some point…and they did!! Thank you Ethique!
So, I deliberated for an ages over which colour to choose, read a lot of reviews (especially those with photos) to try and anticipate how it would look with my skin tone. Pleased to say I am really thrilled with my choice and can’t wait to try another shade. The colour of ‘poppy’ is quite a brick red on me and a bolder look than I would usually go for, however I’m up for a change!
Apologies, but if I could give this zero stars, I would. The formula is heavy, cakey, and drying. But what’s worse is the COLOR. This is NOT a red, and it’s NOT universally flattering. It is an ugly, ruddy brown on me. I am so disappointed. I wanted to support this company and that’s $20 right in the trash because their return policy is only for unopened items (so, essentially, you can’t return anything here). Learned my lesson… I’ll have to stick with retail stores that take returns because I couldn’t afford to just throw $20 in the trash. I bought this and another set with a lipstick and same problem… listed as a rose shade, and it was totally brown/beige. If you don’t have warm toned skin, I wouldn’t order anything here with color.
